Worldcoin...does this spell the end of personal privacy?

📣 News: Worldcoin 🎱 

We all know Sam Altman, creator of OpenAI, Silicon Valley darling, and president of Y combinator.

He’s back with a new project.

It’s called Worldcoin.

Worldcoin verifies that a person is real. It scans your eyes using an AI-powered “Orb”, after which you receive an ID and Worldcoin’s cryptocurrency, $WLD.

Think of it like a digital passport that pays you to join.

Why? To prove who’s human in a world filled with AI.

Oh, and this isn’t sci-fi we’re talking about. Worldcoin is already here with over 2 million users, a $3 billion valuation, and plans to expand to 35 cities across 20 countries.

It sounds nice, but does anyone else immediately think of 'Black Mirror'? 🤨 

Granted Worldcoin’s mission is noble (increasing economic opportunity), but the whole eye-scanning operation is definitely raising some red flags.

Now on the Flipside, Worldcoin might just be exactly what we need to put an end to ever growing swarm of online bots and deepfakes by distinguishing between humans and computers.

Amazon’s New AI Agents 🕵️‍♂️ 

What is the future of Ai? Autonomous Agents

All of the high tech companies are racing to build ‘em.

What are autonomous agents?!

We know that ChatGPT can handle a single task, like “code a website.” But then you need a human to take action with the code.

Autonomous agents, on the other hand, multitask all at once:

Code a website → publish it → debug it → add code….and voila!

Despite a few ok attempts (AutoGPT, Multi-On, & others), we haven’t seen anything actually useful yet besides simpler agents like Code Interpreter.

Now Amazon is taking a stab at agents. Yesterday they announced that agents would be integrated inside Bedrock, their service that lets businesses access AI models like Claude and SDXL.

The goal is to give businesses agents that can answer questions about their data and execute tasks.

If you thought jobs were facing trouble with the standard language processors, this is a whole other level

Runway Gen-2 image-to-video is making waves 

Runway Gen-2 released its text-to-video feature recently, and the results are pretty spectacular.

In case you didn’t know, text-to-image lets you upload an image and turn it into a video, similar to how you can generate images with text in Midjourney.

While this isn’t about to give Hollywood a run for its money anytime soon, the progress is still quite incredible when you consider that we could barely even generate images with AI a year ago
