🗞️ News:

OpenAI releases a Plethora of GPT upgrades  🚀

AI is officially multimodal: ChatGPT can now see your images, hear your voice, and answer your questions in a human-like voice. OpenAI also brought back the beloved “browsing feature” which allows you to connect to the internet through GPT!

Here’s what you need to know:

Voice

  • You can now use voice to engage in back-and-forth conversations with ChatGPT and use it as an assistant.

  • You can enable voice from the New Features section in Settings. You can then choose between 5 different voices.

  • You can check out voice samples here.

Images

  • You’ll be able to take or upload images into ChatGPT and ask questions about the image.

  • Questions can range from how to fix a leaky faucet to creating code based on a screenshot of UI (Example below).

  • You’ll be able to focus and ask questions about a specific part of the image using the drawing tool.

  • You will also be able to upload screenshots and documents containing both text and images. (Example video here.)

Browsing

  • The browsing feature will let you find real-time information on the internet.

  • Answers will come with direct links to sources.

  • Answers are no longer limited to the previous cut-off date of Sep 2021. ( Release video here.)

Browsing became available to Plus and Enterprise users this week. The Voice and Images features will be available in the coming weeks.

GPT Use-Cases to Supercharge Your Life ⚡️

Convert images, screenshots, whiteboards, Figma designs, and more into code.

You can now get working code for a website just by uploading an image or sketch for that website into ChatGPT. 🤯

Below is a video of a real working example, where the creator converts a screenshot of a dashboard into working code by passing it through ChatGPT:

Here is another example of a creator going from just an image to a live website:

Use ChatGPT to explain complex images, charts, diagrams etc..

With the new multimodal features that let you upload images, documents, and screenshots, you can now ask ChatGPT to explain what’s going on in that image. Below is an example of ChatGPT explaining a diagram of a human cell:

Get real-time condensed information, data, analysis, and more with Web Browsing.

ChatGPT has access to the internet once again by integrating Bing.

This means that ChatGPT’s answers are no longer limited to the events of Sep 2021 and before. You can now get real-time data in ChatGPT and use it to do a number of things like:

  • Give ChatGPT a link to a website or document and ask it to explain or summarize the content

  • Ask ChatGPT to retrieve data like stock prices and game scores

  • Share a link to a website and ask it to analyze SEO performance

  • Ask ChatGPT to create content like social media or blog posts about recent events

In the example above, I used the web browsing extension to scan the market for potential up-and-coming new AI Tools (Links Below)

Activate this feature: Navigate to the three dots in the bottom left-hand corner > Settings & Beta > Beta Features > Browse with Bing. Voila.

Get assistance with school homework and assignments

Below is an example of a user uploading a screenshot of a math problem into ChatGPT and getting the correct answer:

Note: OpenAI says that the new features will be rolled out over the next 2 weeks. If you can’t find the new features in ChatGPT, I recommend saving this email and checking in for the next couple to be notified exactly when the full update is released.
