🗞️ News: Google’s AI Search “SGE” Is Rolling Out. 🤖 

We’ve been testing Google’s new AI-powered search “SGE” for weeks. For context, instead of generating a list of clickable links, SGE gives you summarized answer with options for follow-ups.

SGE is great as a search engine but not at all effective as a chatbot.

➕ In many instances, SGE outshines the OG Google Search. It delivers answers quicker, guiding users to websites or videos only when necessary. We’ve used it for:

• How-to’s / guides

• Definitions / synonyms.

• Searching people / places.

• Researching history / concepts.

➖ SGE should be used for research but not task execution. When compared to ChatGPT, it has:

• A slower response time.

• Difficulty with long prompts.

• A cluttered user interface.

Why it matters: AI-powered summaries and interactive chat are the future of online search. Early feedback on SGE indicates that users love snapshot responses with the ability to probe further.

Google also announced two upcoming features we’re eagerly anticipating:

1. AI-powered summaries of web pages.

2. Understanding and debugging code.

This tiny Caribbean island is sitting on a pile of AI gold💰️ 

Whether this was a stroke of luck or an action by its visionary leaders, it is undoubtedly one of the wildest stories to emerge from the AI hype cycle, this tiny island nation called Anguilla could reportedly make up to 10% of its GDP — or $30 million — from selling “.ai“ domains.

$30 million may not sound like a lot compared to the billions we see in the headlines every day, but I can assure you that it is a hefty chunk of change for a country with less than 20,00 residents and a reported $300 million GDP in 2021.

Just like the US owns .us domains and the UK owns .uk domains, Anguilla was assigned the .ai domains to establish their country’s presence back in 1995. And thanks to the surging demand for .ai domains, Anguilla finds itself at the right place at the right time to benefit from the AI boom.

Stability AI releases Stability Audio for music and sound creation 🎵 

Text, images, and now audio — Generative AI continues to push the boundaries across all mediums.

Stability AI just released a new product called Stability Audio that can generate high-quality audio from text prompts.

Here’s what you need to know:

• You can feed the app prompts for both music (like the Blues) and sounds (like waves crashing on the shore).

• The platform can generate sounds across any genre and can mix and produce sounds from multiple genres too.

• The output can be used for personal entertainment and commercial purposes, like audio content for an ad.

• There’s a free version where you can generate 20 tracks of up to 45 seconds for non-commercial use. And the paid version comes with 500 tracks of up to 90 seconds and can be used for commercial purposes.

While you can’t produce tracks that can compete with professional artists (yet), the quality is more than acceptable for personal and some commercial use cases.
