π£ News: Google's secret weapon π

Google has shaken things up with a fresh update to its privacy policy. Now, they've granted themselves the freedom to utilize the vast expanse of the web and gather content to supercharge their AI models.
Under this new policy, Google plans to utilize public information to train their AI models and make enhancements to products like Google Translate, Bard, and Cloud AI capabilities. They've even given their policy lingo a little makeover, swapping out the plain old "language models" with the trending language of the times "AI models."
Social media sites like Twitter and Reddit have begun to impose restrictive measures to prevent other companies from scraping data for their own AI models.

Elon Vs Zuck π₯ : The first punch has been thrown!

Meta's CEO dealt a sucker punch to his rival, Elon Musk, by announcing the release of their Twitter competitor. While Elon Musk has been training for his rumored cage fight with Zuckerberg, Meta seized the opportunity to unveil their new app, Threads, amidst Twitter's recent struggles.
Under Musk's leadership, Twitter has faced its fair share of challenges, from layoffs and declining ad revenue to a significant drop in value. Meta aims to capitalize on Twitter's woes and take the lead with their innovative app, Threads.
Launching a competitor to Twitter at this moment holds several strategic advantages. One of the key reasons is the abundance of text data present on platforms like Twitter and Reddit, which can be harnessed to train AI models. With Threads, Meta intends to amass its own trove of text-based data and further enhance their AI models.
While many startups have tried and failed to fill the void left by Twitter's troubles, Meta remains optimistic about the success of Threads.
The lingering question, however, is whether Threads will emulate the missteps of previous Meta ventures like Facebook Dating and various gaming initiatives or soar to the heights achieved by Instagram Stories and Reels.
