Expected GPT-5 🤖 and MIT’s new creation to defend against AI 🥷

📣 News: GPT-5 Incoming 🚀 

OpenAI has recently filed a Trademark application with the US Patent and Trademark Office for GPT-5 according to several tweets and online reports.

In case you’re not familiar with AI models, GPT-4 is OpenAI’s current leading model, which powers many of today’s biggest AI apps, like ChatGPT.

Filed on July 18, 2023, the application covers a range of language model applications such as:

• Artificial production of human speech and text

• Audio to text conversion

• Voice and speech recognition

• Machine-learning based language and speech processing

• Translation of text or speech from one language to another

• Creating and generating text

• Developing and implementing artificial neural networks

Although there is no official release date yet for GPT-5, the excitement in the air is palpable as the previous models released by OpenAI truly took the world by storm.

AI defends against AI 🥷 

Researchers from MIT have developed "PhotoGuard," a new AI technique that can protect images from AI models.

PhotoGuard changes pixel values that are invisible to the human eye but can disrupt an AI model's ability to manipulate the image effectively.

It involves two types of attacks:

• Makes the AI see the image as random.

• Images will be resistant to modifications.

This is important because PhotoGuard can prevent fake images from manipulating the public in ways that we haven’t even imagined yet.

In addition this will protect businesses that use authentic images to represent their brand and products from AI.
