🗞️ News: Anthropic Launches Claude Pro. Does this spell the end of ChatGPT Plus?

Anthropic launched its own version of ChatGPT Plus: Claude Pro.

For context, Claude 2 is the next-best option after ChatGPT-4. Its superpower is that it can “read” and distill huge PDF documents. Plus, it’s more concise than ChatGPT.

The pro version is just Claude 2 with 5x more usage and priority access at $20/month. Given their similarities, we suggest opting for either Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus, much like you’d decide between Spotify and Apple Music.

Which should you choose?

Claude Pro vs. ChatGPT Plus: Choose Claude if your job involves sifting through expansive documents (ex: research assistants or lawyers). Otherwise ChatGPT-4 and the free version of Claude 2 should suffice.

Zoom launches new AI assistant to make your meetings a breeze 🕊️ 

Can’t make it to the meeting on time? Don’t worry, Zoom will now give you a quick summary of the meeting so far the minute you join. How cool is that?

That’s just one of the handy new features Zoom launched as part of its new AI Companion. The new AI assistant is designed to help you be more productive in meetings and brings valuable new features like:

• Composing chat responses with the right tone

• Real-time transcriptions and translations during calls

• Recaps when you join the meeting so you’re up to date

• Smart meeting recordings to help you organize and highlight key points from the meeting

• Generating action items for each meeting attendee after the meeting is done

AI Companion comes at no extra cost if you have a Zoom subscription. Zoom says more features like email assistance and scheduling are also coming soon. Stay tuned.

This AI App is taking the Internet by storm 🏃‍♂️ 

If you asked the average person walking down the street what the most popular AI chatbot in the world was, chances are 99% of them would say ChatGPT.

Well, turns out that might not be entirely true.

While ChatGPT’s parent website OpenAI is the AI website getting the most visitors every month, there’s another AI chatbot with hundreds of millions of monthly visitors that are on average spending ~8x as much time compared to ChatGPT.

Character AI is an AI chatbot that lets you chat with historical, fictional, celebrity, or other characters via text. Unlike ChatGPT, the conversations sound more natural, and you can chat with multiple characters at the same time.

Popular chatbots include Einstein, Ronaldo, and Taylor Swift. You can also chat with a therapist, a language teacher, a popular video game character, or even a master debater.

Here are some statistics from SimilarWeb to understand how popular Character AI is on the internet:

• The average visitor spends a whopping 34 minutes on Character AI

 — For comparison, the average visitor spends 20 minutes on YouTube, 10 minutes on Facebook, 8 minutes on Instagram, and 4 minutes on Open AI (ChatGPT).

• Character AI’s users are predominantly male and under the age of 24

• Character AI’s users are interested in video games, news and tech

 — They also spend time on Roblox and Discord

• Character AI has taken a clear lead over every other AI chatbot to establish itself as the clear competitor to ChatGPT
